Piper is a bright girl, has good initiative and learns quickly when teaching her new things.
She is sensitive and can get anxious when she is not sure what is going on around her. This is shown in her whining and being fidgety. With patient and consistent handling, she starts to settle.
She walks nicely, listens well and responds to verbal cues.
She loves to be stroked, have cuddles and hang out with her people.
She likes to know what is going on around her and can be easily distracted by quick movements, such as birds and squirrels.
Piper is good with other dogs that have the same temperament. She grew up with 3 cats, which she was gentle with, and is good with all people whatever their size or age.
With being a teenager, she is still learning what is wanted of her however, she learns quickly, so teaching her the good things is important at this time.
Consistency and patience will bring out the best in her.
She bonds well with people she knows and trusts.

Piper needs consistency in carrying on with her training. She is learning many new skills, and these will need to be maintained so she can remain successful in her life.
She needs a home where she can be with her people to enjoy walks, couch and hanging out time.
A fenced back yard is a must. Given her natural curiosity she needs a secure space to be off leash.
Although good with other dogs, Piper would benefit with being the only dog as she is more of a people dog.
Piper does get anxious, especially with new situations. She needs time, patience and understanding to settle into her new home.
