Tribute
Pawprints left by you…
You no longer walk through the door.
You’re no there to make me smile,
To make me laugh anymore.
Life seems quiet without you,
You were far more than a pet.
You were a family member, a friend,
… a loving soul I’ll never forget.
It will take time to heal,
For the silence to go away.
I still listen for you, And miss you every day.
You were such a great companion,
Constant, loyal and true.
My heart will always wear,
the pawprints left by you.

Biography:
Hellooooo! My name is Princess. I started my life on the streets where I had broken my leg and wasn’t sure what would happen to me. Just then this young girl came along and found me along side the road. She took me home and, although her father made it clear that I could not stay with them, he was kind enough to take me to another human they called a vet to get fixed up. So here I was, 2 months old with a cast on, looking for a family to take me in. The young girl again came to my rescue when she introduced me to this nice guy who absolutely fell in love with me. But when he got home, his wife wasn’t very happy to see me. So I had to move on again. This time I was introduced to a nice woman who also fell in love with me. But when we got home, her husband wasn’t very happy to see me. Now what are the odds of that! But you know, it all worked out in the end, because my fourth stop landed me here where I was obviously destined to be.
No sooner did I get here than I had to go see another one of those vet persons. But this one I really liked because he took my cast off! No more running around with my back leg stuck out parallel to the ground like a helicopter rotor blade. So anyway, seeing as I liked him, I didn’t really mind having to go back to him on a regular basis over the next little while for check ups, vaccines and the inevitable spay
Upon my arrival at my new home I was paired up with Nitchi. She was going through a hard time having just lost Kato and I was glad I could be there for her. She was very nice to me, but man, she is no fun to play with. Then a few days later Mason came along and gave me every opportunity to run, frolic and wrestle. In fact, he provided me with the greatest physiotherapy in regards to regaining strength in my leg. And things just keep getting better. Since those early days I have been introduced to Dante and a number of the other groups of dogs. Everybody makes a big deal about me being able to move around between the different groups. I don’t know why it is so hard for humans to understand that royalty is born, not nurtured!
