Welcome Waggin’: Chico
We welcomed Chico into our care on May 7, 2014. Chico is a 9 year old Shepherd/Rottweiler mix but there has been much discussion about his true breed composition. Some are convinced, because of his height and slightly curled tail, that he is part Akita. Some are convinced that his vocalizations when excited mean he has Malamute or Husky in him. Regardless of his breed, he’s a great dog and we are happy to facilitate his new beginning.
Since his arrival at Keshet, Chico has been spending time getting to know the place and even made some new friends. He seems to be enjoying the free time and ample space outdoors. His curious nature is very apparent as he absolutely MUST check every hole and sniff every tree in the vicinity. His quality assurance is superb, he leaves no stone unsniffed! While he enjoys his walks, his real interest lies in being involved with what people around him are doing. He is a great companion and impresses us with his playful sprinting, however short-lived.
Chico is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and ready to find his forever home. He came from a home with kids and would be a great addition to a family looking for an older dog.
